What's on offer: for children
|
We offer an excellent registered nursery where we provide a stimulating and caring pre-school environment for children. Our aim is to ensure that children will be on a par with and at no disadvantage to their peers when they start school. The Family haven nursery is registered to take 28 children. However due to staffing ratios (we are OFSTED inspected and in line with any other nursery) we only accept 22 children at any given time. We NEVER turn a family away – families are allocated days according to their level of need. So a family living in B&B accommodation will automatically be offered 5 days a week as their need is the greatest. Where we have lots of families seeking our support, we allocate 2/3 days to a family, thereby ensuring that every family in need has access to the many services and facilities we provide. |

Mealtime at The Family Haven This is an example of a typical week’s menu. Obviously we intend to make the meals as nutritious and well-balanced as we can, using fresh produce where possible. For some this is the only hot meal they receive. Monday Tuna pasta bake Tuesday stir fried chicken with rice Wednesday shepherds pie and vegetables Thursday roast lamb Friday quiche salad jacket potatoes |
