Playtime: Richard Mander, head of human resource at Ecclesiastical, and Claire McGrath, from The Family Haven, with four year old Logan Woodward.

Some of the Ecclesiastical Staff visits The Family Haven.

Gloucester insurance firm Ecclesiastical has chosen The Family Haven as its charity of the year. Ecclesiastical Insurance has named The Family Haven as one of the four Gloucester charities it will support over the next year through volunteering and fundraising.

The other charities chosen by Ecclesiastical's staff include Gloucestershire Youth Housing Association, Headway Cotswold Trust and Milestone School.

The staff at The Family Haven are celebrating the news. Claire McGrath, The Family Havens fundraising and public relations manager, said: " This is great news for Gloucester families. It costs around £160.000 to keep The Family Haven up and running and we need volunteers to make sure the centre runs smoothly.

" Ecclesiastical's support ensures we can continue to concentrate on helping those families most in need."

Our charity, based on Spa Road, provides nursery and day-care services for children and support and respite for parents.
